Rust armourer guilty of cinematographer’s death

After a tragic incident on the set of the movie “Rust”, where actor Alec Baldwin accidentally fired a prop gun, resulting in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, the rust armourer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, has been found guilty of negligence.

The investigation revealed that Gutierrez-Reed failed to properly check and maintain the firearms used on set, ultimately leading to the fatal accident. This has raised questions about safety protocols in the entertainment industry and the responsibilities of armourers to ensure the wellbeing of cast and crew members.
