Elon Musk Sues OpenAI and Sam Altman for ‘Flagrant Breaches’ of Contract
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman, alleging ‘flagrant breaches’ of contract. Musk co-founded OpenAI in 2015 with the goal of promoting and developing friendly AI for the benefit of humanity.
According to the lawsuit, Musk claims that OpenAI and Altman have violated their agreements by pursuing projects and partnerships that Musk believes are not aligned with the original mission of the organization. Musk also alleges that Altman has made false statements about Musk’s involvement with OpenAI.
OpenAI has not yet issued a public response to the lawsuit, but Altman has denied any wrongdoing in a statement to the press. The case is expected to go to trial later this year.
It remains to be seen how this legal battle will impact the future of OpenAI and its work in the field of artificial intelligence.
